I Found A Daisy artificial flower in my lawn it was so pretty can someone use voodoo on a flower?

can some use voodoo on a flower and put it in your yard

I Found A Daisy artificial flower in my lawn it was so pretty can someone use voodoo on a flower?
I find all kinds of strange stuff in my yard all the time. No voodoo, just the wind redepositing someone elses crap in my yard. It can be very windy here in Reno.
Reply:Nope, as far as I know there are no seed packets for planting and growing artifical daisies. No Voodoo either. In the 20 years I've been gardening it takes planning and hard work to make a garden grow real flowers, Plastic or artifical flowers are purchased at craft stores and just stuck in the ground. No satisfaction there. Sorry!

What do you think of the name Daisy Cheyenne for a baby girl?

Any other suggestions?

What do you think of the name Daisy Cheyenne for a baby girl?
i like Cheyenne Daisy a lot more

Daisy as a first name seems weird to me, like I would never imagine calling one of my friends Daisy

My name is a flower name as well [Jasmine] so i'm all for that theme. lol.

i loveee the nam Cheyenne, it's my cousin's name and so cute :)
Reply:I think it doesn't work that well together.

I like Cheyenne, but not with Daisy.

Names are obviously a pretty important thing and should be based on you and your family. Not understanding your family and/or history, it is a hard question to give you a good answer.

Certain names would work better with Cheyenne. I would recommend a 3 syllable name with a less then 3 middle name.

Example Emily Cheyenne, Alyssa Cheyenne, Angela Cheyenne.

If Daisy is more important, than use a shorter middle name, example Lee, Anne, Mae...well maybe not Mae, but you get the idea.
Reply:omg! i love that name! u should totally name ur daughter that!
Reply:If you like it go for it. I don't care for it.
Reply:I just think it's awful....sorry. Some names I like are:

Olivia, Emma, Ava, Emme, Elle, Elizabeth, Morgan, Miley, Madison, Claire, Lorelei, Evie, Gracie, Avery
Reply:I like Daisy but to me, it's almost 'too' cute - I just can't imagine a 30 year old Daisy.

I don't even know how to pronounce Cheyenne so I can't say I like it.
Reply:Sounds kinda country

What about:

Daisa Cheyenne

Daisy Brianna

Daisy Elisabeth

Daisy Victoria

Daisy Shea

Daisy Rose
Reply:honestly i hate it
Reply:It's pretty, but you have to think of a name that would fit the baby in later years too. I just don't think the name Daisy would be fitting for someone older than 5. Cheyenne would be better as a first name in my opinion.

If you like D names though, here are a few:

*Dakota

*Danielle

*Deja

*Delia

*Diane/a

*Dorothy

Reply:I love it!!!!!
Reply:Well Daisy is a pretty name and Cheyenne for a middle name is ok but to call her Daisy Cheyenne as one name will handicap the child through life. Just my opinion since you asked.
Reply:well if you like flowers

i really like the names:

dahlia

delia

rosie
Reply:Although I like both names, using them together seems terribly pretentious.
Reply:Anything but Daisy - they really are drab little flowers!
Reply:Only if you wear Cowboy hats on a daily basis. Daisy is a very low brow name and Cheyenne is very trendy. You should give your girl at least one normal, classic, name that they can rely on.

If you were a big CEO and looking for an assistant would you hire a 30 year old woman named Daisy Cheyenne? Or would you just picture Daisy Dukes?
Reply:I love Cheyenne it's my daughter's name. I don't really like Daisy. If you really like it , it does sound good together. Do what you like-you'll have to yell it a hundred time a day.lol
Reply:I love it...they flow so well together
Reply:I love the name Cheyenne!
Reply:I love Daisy.
Reply:Yes...Sixtynine....yes we got it........

and by some odd chance you were serious....YUCK!

ETA...Oh goodness you were serious? I thought you were making a joke on Daisy Chain which is a sex thing.

All the more reason NOT to do it...Daisy is a name for a hillbilly or a dog.

Cheyenne isn't bad..I don't like it and it is a bit hickish...but it isn't HORRIBLE.

Sorry, I thought you were kidding.
Reply:Sounds like an air rifle.
Reply:Daisy sounds super cute, but I don't like Cheyenne as much for some reason. Since Daisy is a bit hippie-ish (in a good way though lol), a more traditional middle name seems to balance it better, like Daisy Elisabeth or something like that. Maybe it's because Cheyenne kind of reminds me of the word cayenne, and then it's too many nouns in a name for me lol.

Good luck!
Reply:Sorry, to me it sounds like a stripper name.

Where on sims2 castaway for wii do you find the death daisy used in the Death daisy potion?
You dont harvest it. It only appears when one of your Sims dies and then it grows on their tombstone, you can only use it to bring a sim back to life, not one of the skeletons that are lying about the islands.

Where can I find the potatoe salad recipe from Daisy Martinez of Daisy cooks.?
Mami's Potato Salad

8 to 10 servings

2 pounds small (2-inch) white new potatoes, washed and quartered

Fine sea salt or kosher salt

2 chorizo, andouille or smoked garlicky sausages (6 to 8 ounces), casings removed and cut in 1/4-inch dice

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 1/2 cups mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved

1 large red bell pepper, cored, seeded and finely diced

1 large carrot, peeled and coarsely shredded

1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar or other vinegar

Freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Place potatoes in a pot and add enough water to cover by 2 to 3 inches. Add 2 tablespoons salt and bring water to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and let stand to cool.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chorizo or sausage and cook, tossing it around, until sizzling and shiny, just a minute or two.

Transfer potatoes to a mixing bowl and sprinkle with onion powder. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and 3 to 4 tablespoons water in a bowl. Push egg yolks through a sieve into dressing, stir well and pour over potatoes.

Chop the egg whites roughly and add to salad along with red pepper and carrot. Stir gently until the vegetables are coated with dressing. Add vinegar, chorizo, and salt and pepper to taste, and stir again.

If you like a creamier salad, add warm water, a little at a time, until the dressing reaches the desired consistency. Transfer salad to a serving bowl and garnish with cilantro.

Where can I find artifical daisy flowers with no stem??

I want to make a bikini and glue daisies(not real ones) all over it. Does anyone know where I can find lose daisies that are artifical? I would like the daisies with no stem possibly. Internet or store locations?

Where can I find artifical daisy flowers with no stem??
HobbyLobby or Walmart...also you can cut the stem off on other ones.
Reply:go to a craft store or a fabric store. do you have a Michael's or A.C. Moore in yr town? Even Walmart has a crafts section.
Reply:You can get silk flowers in a variety of sizes from WalMart or any nice craft or fabric store (I love Hobby Lobby and Michaels/MJ Designs) and as another answerer suggested, just cut the stems off. This might not even be necessary, as most silk flowers are not even secured on the stem and will lift right off.

It sounds like you might be looking for some smaller sized flowers. Consider looking at scrapbooking embellishments as oftentimes they will have fabric or even silk-flower miniatures.

A final suggestion is to look in the fabric department where they have decorative trim. They may have a string of daisies that you would just cut apart - I used something similar for my wedding and put them on my shoes, dress, and as accents throughout. I know, if you're not a daisy freak, it might sound weird, but they were satin and pearl and I didn't over-do it!

Here is a link to Joann.com for a trim that is about $3.00/yd.

http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?C...

Okay, one more thing. On etsy.com there are lots of daisy enthusiasts. Look through their listings and you might become inspired. I saw lots of cute felt cut-outs - which you could do yourself, or even use crafty "fun foam" type material.

It occurred to me that you could also look in the little girls' hair accessory department - they have really cute daisies even at the dollar store type shops.

Sorry, I get carried away when it comes to crafts or daisies! I hope you find something that works out just right!

How do I care for a GREEN LEAF EURYOPS DAISY?Do I pull the dead ones off to make new ones grow?

Taking the dead flower off is called dead-heading. It is done to help the plant use it's energy for growth instead of producing seeds. I always try to dead-head all my flowers.

Is a daisy a example of radial balance? What is negative space and occult balance?

Yes, a daisy is an example of radial balance (and symmetry). Negative space is the space around an object. Think of a silhouette, the space around the silhouette is negative. A coffee mug...The space inside the handle as you look at the mug is negative space. Your hand, with fingers spread...the space in between your fingers is negative space. Occult balance is where the background (usually negative space) dominates the composition.

The Sims 2 Castaways on Ps2, where can I get a Death Daisy from?

The Death Daisy flower is one of the items that is needed to make the Death Daisy Potion. This potion is used for reanimating the dead. Potion Ingredients: Death Daisy, Blood Orange, Machineel Fruit, Mandrake Root. This is one of the crafting plans in the crafting plans book.

The Sims 2 Castaways on Ps2, where can I get a Death Daisy from?
The death daisy isn't found unless one of the sim crew die, when this happens they have a headstone where the death daisy grows.

It can't be used to bring the skeletons around the islands back to life so the death daisy potion isn't needed unless someone dies.

Good Luck

What flowers or other annuals look good with daisy like flowers??

this is for my planters not the ground

thanks!!

What flowers or other annuals look good with daisy like flowers??
Go for something in a complementary shape and color. Try marigolds, snapdragons etc. Avoid anything that looks to similar to your daisies. For added interest, try some tall grass or a trailing ivy in your planter too!
Reply:For planters, the rule is that you need thrillers, spillers and fillers. Your daisies can be your thrillers, you can add something light and airy like asparagus fern for your filler, and for spillers you can add variegated ivy, creeping jenny, sweet potato vine or vinca vine to tumble over the edges. Wave petunias are great for containers that get enough sun -- hot pink is always good!. Add a spike for height.
Reply:Difficult to answer without knowing the size of the planter.Trailing Lobelia will give a different dimension and cover up the base of the "daisy-like" flowers. If the container is large enough, try a bronze lily as a centre-piece.
Reply:I would consider a grassy plant as well as a trailing down the planter type ( I love lobelia for this)

Don't use something too brightly coloured as this will detract from the daisies.

Good Luck these beauties are very picky and prone to rot from overwatering and die from lack of water easily. If it is for a wedding why not buy them from a vender just before the wedding and enjoy them while they last.

Anybody know the right way to daisy chain a M-audio 410 to a M-audio 1814? I'm afraid to burn them up.thnx
You need more than the 8 imputs on the 1814? All simultaneous? You know you can record 8 then go back and overdub another 8, right? I think with Pro Tools you can go up to 24 track, and with the 1814 you can do up to 8 simultaneous. If you really need that many imputs you should look at a USB mixer - like the Behringer 2424. You could link a 410, (output to one of the imputs on the 1814) but all you would gain is one additional channel.

The Great Gatsby Novel: Why does Daisy hope her child will be a beautiful fool?

I'm not quite sure why she would want her child as a beautiful fool - so if someone can answer that question; that would be fabulous.

The Great Gatsby Novel: Why does Daisy hope her child will be a beautiful fool?
She was trying to imply that the life of a woman is a happier one in ignorance. If her daughter is a "fool" then she will never have to suffer the harsh realities of the real world. Think of the old saying " Ignorance is bliss". the less her daughter knows, the better. She also probably said this because she was still full of resentment over the fact that she wasnt allowed to marry Gatsby when she wanted too...
Reply:Because her daughter is female. She believes she herself is a beautiful fool - a woman shouldn't be too smart. They should just be beautiful and marry well. That is what she hopes for her daughter. The typical jazz age woman.

How do I remove mildew from the leaves of my Gerbera daisy plant and why did I get mildew in the first place?

Mildew should just rinse off with water on a plant. But....I would guess that it must be in too humid of an area if mildew is forming in the first place. Could it be a fungus?

How do I remove mildew from the leaves of my Gerbera daisy plant and why did I get mildew in the first place?
1. Use a general purpose fungicide for spraying on the leaves. Neem oil is good for this purpose.

2. Do not water the plants overhead. Only water in the soil, not on the leaves. Powdery mildew (the white mildew most likely on your daisy) happens when you water improperly. Most plants like to have water only in their soil, not on their leaves.

How do you save the seeds from a gerbera daisy plant?

Gerbera daisies will "go to seed" on their own. Both the plants and the cut flowers will do this. Simply wait until this occurs, and then gather/collect the seeds. It does take a while for this to happen because Geberas are long-lived flowers. When they do "go to seed" you should collect the seeds quickly. They have fluffy little "parachutes" (smaller than a dandelion), so they will fly around all over the place with any sort of breeze or draft.

Do wild daisy seeds need stratification before planting?

I am gathering wild flower seeds and am unsure if i need to stratify them or let them dry and then plant the seed?

Do wild daisy seeds need stratification before planting?
If you live in this part of the world the below link will help you.

I personally just let them self seed as they would in nature.

Some things need to go thru the dormant period of winter. Like conifer trees.

http://www.easywildflowers.com/Wildflowe...

Midwest and Eastern U.S.A

There are several different ways to give this pretreatment. 1. Seeds can be stored in the refrigerator in a ziplock bag with damp sand, be careful the sand does not contain weed seeds.

2. Seeds can be planted in seed flats, moistened, covered with plastic to prevent drying and placed in refrigerator.

3. Seeds can be planted in seed flats, placed outside in partial shade and covered with screen wire (window screen) to keep out small animals and help breakup large raindrops that could splash seeds out of the flat. Seeds germinate at their normal time in the spring.

4. Seeds can be planted outside in fall/winter in a prepared flower bed or field and let nature do the job of providing the cool moist stratification.

I prefer planting in seed flats covered with screen and placed outside. Seeds will germinate in the spring and are transplanted to small individual pots when they have two true leaves and later into the flowerbed when large enough to mulch around. This is more work than planting directly in the bed but often gives better results. When perennial seeds are planted directly in a flower bed it is often very hard to distinguish between small flower seedlings and the weeds you will want to remove. Starting seeds in flats will also give the option of mulching around individual plants as they are transplanted into the garden.
Reply:I live in the Ozark Mts.where daisies grow wild, just sprinkle them in your flower bed. Their brilliant mixed with roses. Report It

Reply:If you are referring to Oxeye daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum), they are the easiest plant on the planet to cultivate. Collect ripe seed and plant thinly in trays of soil, they grow like weeds, which to many it truly is. Horses and cattle do not like it, and it is regarded as a noxious weed by all livestock owners.
Reply:Wild flower seeds is easy and you can just let them dry for 2-3weeks before sowing. Need not stratify them.

Reply:So sorry for your loss, it just takes time- lost my friend that grew up with me for 12 years and still miss her - I am 34 now- but I smile now when I think of her quirky ways etc! She was very loved and I believe she knew this , just as Daisy did too! Best wishes!
Reply:I feel for you all the way... things like this just take time. Try to stay busy and focus on other things for awhile. It's still a little soon, but it will definetly help to go and pick out a new puppy/dog. No pet will replace your Daisy, but it's heathy and good to have a new friend to pour your love into! I'm sorry about your loss!
Reply:The only thing you can do is go thru the grieving. It just takes time.. You cannot hurry it, and everyone is different. I lost my very best friend in 2002 and I will still cry over her 6 years later.. Just don't cry nearly as often, and have plenty of fond memories of her.
Reply:after we put our beloved dog down I googled about greieving the loss of a pet..maybe that will help....
Reply:it can take a long time. I had to put my dog that i had since i was 5 down and i miss her soooo much. My other dog started grieving and wasn't doing so good so i got her a puppy 2 months later and i wanted another dog. It takes some time but i know what you're going through
Reply:The loss of any we love hurts and while it gets better with time, it never goes away completely. It has been only a short time so that's okay. If you feel you are so sad that you cannot function then please talk to someone (pastor/rabbi/good Friend).

I still carry the sweet memories and I am grateful for them, I was lucky to have such great dogs in my life.

Hang in there. I'll pray Daisy is chasing squirrels in heaven - and that for once - the squirrels are slow or dogs can climb trees, anything is possible now.
Reply:I'm so sorry for your loss. I, like most everyone else here, knows what you are going through. It's never easy to say good-bye-bye to a beloved pet.

I know that this is easy for me to tell you, but not as easy to do, but you have to try and remember the good times and the happy memories that you had with Daisy. Know that your dog will live forever in your heart where she will always hold a special place.

Daisy is now at The Rainbow Bridge and waiting for you and I'm sure that she is having a good time with the dogs that I've lost. None of are in any pain and they are not suffering.

I'm going to give you some links that hopefully will help you through this difficult time. The first two are for The Rainbow Bridge and the others are places where you can put a free memorial for your dog.

Again, my deepest condolences.

May Daisy rest in peace knowing that she was and will always be loved.

EDIT TO ADD:

I wish that I could tell you that you will be over losing Daisy tomorrow, but there's no easy answer to the question as when you'll feel better and stop missing Daisy. No two people handle grief in the same way and some people can handle grief it better and get over it and quicker than others.

All I can tell you is that in time, it will get better and tears will become less. There are still times when I shed tears over my first dog who I lost 25 years ago. I have her ashes in an urn near the head of my bed as that was her favorite place to sleep.

.
Reply:we have 6 animals and if we lose one we replace it pretty quickly.. there are so many unwanted unloved animals out there and you have and empty place in your home and your heart.. nothing like a few wet kisses to chase the blues away
Reply:it is seriously hard to deal with the death of a family member, human or furbaby. keep pictures around, toys around, and talk to her as if she were still there in the flesh so to speak. it will take time to get over her death, but you will always remember the fun times, and the sad times. it will be up to you when the greiving process stops, and most likely never will, it will just get easier as days go by. celebrate the day you got her, birthdyas, christmas, anything that makes you feel better. i am not going to tell you to rush out and get a new puppy. you will do that in your own time. i lost my wolves, mother and son 2 and 3 years ago, because i left my ex, and he said the only way he knew how to hurt was kill them. he did by not takig the money i sent for their care. but i know for 13 years they hada great life with me, i'm just sorry i didn't make it back in time( to take them away) so they could have been saved, or at least died in my arms. i have their pictures in my personal spots in our home. i am so sorry for your loss! god bless you and daisey! hugs and kisses from our dogs to you.
Reply:I am sorry about daisy. 2 years ago we had to put my dog to sleep and it was very hard but dont think about her being gone try to think that she is still there you just cant see her and maby try to gett out and dont let her not being there make you sad. try to think about the good things in the past. good luck going through this.. o and i am just saying another thing that helped me was i have a picture and her dogg tag in my wallet that makes me feel good to just see her picture..
Reply:I know it seems pushy but I agree with the person who basically said "replace her." Not that you EVER could. Of course not...but distraction is a great tool. You could give another pooch a home (Daisy would be smiling on your for it) and the next thing you know it will be six months down the line and you'll only shed one tear when you think of her.

Think about it...in honor of your friend.

Much love to you at this tough time -
Reply:i'm so sorry you're dealing with this...losing a beloved pet is the worst part of sharing our lives with them. there is no real time frame in getting thru the heartbreak...it's different for each person so don't expect that what worked for one person will be the same as what you find you need.

there is a wonderful on-line support group for people going thru this. and you may find that some of their links or forums help you too. sometimes talking about it with people who have been there or are going thru it too seems to help, and maybe reading some of he poems there would help:

http://groups.msn.com/InMemoryofTigger/w...

it has been four years since i had to put my brandi to rest, and while times has soothed the sharpness of her loss, it hasn't really taken it totally away. i don't think it ever really will. ironically, today is brandi's birthday (she'd have been 21 today!), so it's kind of a sad occasion on this end too. tears have flowed off and on all day, but that's okay. how much they are loved can be measured in part by how much they are grieved after.

for me, i found it helped to doing something like make a cement garden stone for her. there are many kits available in craft stores, and it is decorated with her dog tag, some polished river rocks, her name and dates. it sits out back where she is buried, among the pretty flowers planted there. i have done this for all of the animals we have lost over the years, and it seems to help ease the grief a little each time i do this ritual. a local artist also did a small pastel painting from her photo. it sits in my living room and i love seeing her smiley face when i'm in there.

making a donation to your local animal shelter in honor of your daisy might help too. knowing that in her passing, she is helping the lives of another dog may make you feel better.

don't assume that you need to get another dog right away - you will know if and when that time comes. it may be tomorrow so you have a companion to help get you thru this...it may not be for several years, so you can let the memories of your daisy bounce about freely without feeling like you've tried to replace her. if i could offer any real advice, it would be to cry when you need to, look at her photos when it helps, and write in a journal so you can get your feelings out.

i wish you all the peace you need while you grieve the loss of your friend. it is not easy to say goodbye, even when we know it's inevitable.
Reply:I had a German Shepard when I was a older teen, she was my two kids first dog, they were babies in the crib crying and she would come get me. She though what ever my daughter ate she ate, I even have a picture of them sharing a Dom Dom sucker, my daughter would lick it then the dog would lick it. I am glad I have those memories but most of all I know she still watches over my family and I know one day I will be able to see her where all the animals are in heaven. I believe our pets have spirits that we can relate to. That's their personalities not two alike. The emptiness and pain will get better as time goes on just remember your pet would want you to go on and even one day find another sweet spirit pet not the same as they were but a little different.
Reply:I'm so sorry for ur loss. When my dog passed away i was so hysterical for days i had to go see our family doctor he suggested I write her a good bye letter. I also did a photo book of her, my favorite picture of us framed with a poem and a few other thing. I felt like I wanted to honor her in someway for standing by me and getting me through life for 13 years.

It took me 5 months before I was ready to get another dog and I felt like she would be happy for me. Only i couldn't get a girl because she will always be my baby girl. so I got a boy and I couldn't imagine life with out him he makes me smile on the darkest of days. I love knowing that she is his guardian angel

Its been 6 year and I still miss her but I promise it gets easier I really thought i would never be OK but I took steps to be better.

so do what you need to and grieve at your own pace.

I wish you all the best. Daisy is in a happy, beautiful ,safe and fun place you don't have to worry about her anymore just remember her fondly.
Reply:when i had to put my dog to sleep... it took me a long time to get over it..... i still am saddened but it was a necessary.... nothing deserves to suffer ya know.... you did a good thing... everyone has there own timing with grieving. people cope different ways..... such as getting a new pet, or spending time with a friends pet or even making a resting place for it so you can visit any time you want....... think of all the positive things you learned and how much fun you had....... personally i put all my dogs belongings away for awhile so i can relax and not always have it on my mind when i saw hes squeak bone walking in the door everyday. jsut needed a break from it.... but when i got a new dog a year or 2 later i brought it all out...... refreshing the good times and how many good times having with a new dog.......

Airguns don't need silencers......
Reply:Though it's not illegal to have a silencer on an airgun, it IS illegal to be able to put one on a firearm, unless you have a BATF license and it has a registered serial number. Of course that's in the U.S. I can't say for other countries.

The great gatsby daisy and myrtle question?

The character "Daisy" is named after a beautiful flower. Myrtle's name is quite different. A myrtle is a shrub that is used as a headge (a border) in a garden. However, the myrtle was also considered to be the sacred tree of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. How might these facts add meaning to author's choice of these names? Include character traits and facts about each character.

The great gatsby daisy and myrtle question?
Well daisy would be quite beautiful of course, and I can see her as quite ecstatic and carefree almost.

Myrtle would be mysterious. She'd have a hidden dark side: maybe a shadowed past.

What animal could Daisy represent in The Great Gatsby?

How about a fluffy white cat? That's how I see her, because she looks innocent, but at the same time she can be spiteful, adventurous, loving, and sneaky. Think about how she reacts to Tom's affair, or how she acts toward Nick--you can almost picture her purring when Nick is around! She is sneaky in her liason with Gatsby, adventurous in her hedonistic approach to life, loving toward Nick and Jordan, etc.

What is the significance of giving a daisy mean?

The Meaning of a Daisy means....Innocence, Loyal Love, I'll Never Tell, and Purity.....What a pretty flower, with such a nice meaning.....:)

What is the significance of giving a daisy mean?
It is thought that the name "daisy" is a corruption of "day's eye", because the whole head closes at night and opens in the morning.

The Daisy or "Bellis perennis" is native to western, central and northern Europe. It is a herbaceous (herbal) plant with short creeping rhizomes (underground, horizontal stem of a plant that often sends out roots and shoots from its nodes).

Daisies flowers suggest innocence.
Reply:Your question reminded me of this song. Are you old enough to remember it?

He remembers the first time he met her

He remembers the first thing she said

He remembers the first time he held her

And the night that she came to his bed

He remembers her sweet way of sayin'

Honey has somethin' gone wrong

He remembers the fun and the teasin'

And the reason he wrote her this song

Ill give you a daisy a day, dear

Ill give you a daisy a day

Ill love you until the rivers run still

And the four winds we know blow away

They would walk down the street in the evenin'

And for years I would see them go by

And their love that was more than the clothes that they wore

Could be seen in the gleam of their eyes

As a kid they would take me for candy

And I loved to go taggin' along

Wed hold hands while we walked to the corner

And the old man would sing her his song

Ill give you a daisy a day, dear

Ill give you a daisy a day

Ill love you until the rivers run still

And the four winds we know blow away

Now he walks down the street in the evenin'

And he stops by the old candy store

And I somehow believe hes believin'

Hes holding er hand like before

For he feels all her love walking with him

And he smiles at the things she might say

Then the old man walks up to the hilltop

And gives her a daisy a day

Ill give you a daisy a day, dear

Ill give you a daisy a day

Ill love you until the rivers run still

And the four winds we know blow away

Where did the video game character Daisy come from in the Mario series?

She seemed to just pop up is there any background story on her? What is she princess of, is she related to peach... I'm just curious.

Where did the video game character Daisy come from in the Mario series?
The two above answers didn't do there research, and Daisy is my favorite character I found this a while ago hope it helps =]

Daisy Bio:

What's Her Story: Princess Daisy is a Nintendo character who first appeared in Super Mario Land, where she is the princess of Sarasaland, and was captured by Tatanga and rescued by Mario. For a long period, Princess Daisy was considered one of the most obscure characters of the Mario franchise. Super Mario Land was a game which featured a large cast of new characters, most of whom failed to "catch on" and have since been largely forgotten. After her initial debut on the Game Boy, Daisy did not appear in another game for over ten years, with the exception of her role as Luigi's caddy in NES Open Tournament Golf. She was eventually brought back for the Nintendo 64 installment Mario Tennis. She quickly became a regular character in the Mario Party series and the Mario sports titles, often acting as a partner for Luigi and Peach. Daisy is suspected by fans to be a relative of Princess Peach, and Luigi's girlfriend. The bio for Daisy's trophy in Super Smash Brothers Melee claims that she is more tomboyish and relates how "gossips" suspect her of being Luigi's girlfriend. Her relationship to Peach is unknown, but on the official website for Mario Power Tennis, Daisy sends a postcard to Peach that she signs "Your sister-in-arms, Daisy." In most of the games, this princess can be recognized from Peach by the color of her hair: Daisy has brown hair and Peach has blonde hair, although Daisy sometimes appears as a redhead. The colour of their dresses is also different: Daisy's being a yellow dress, while Peach's being pink. Initially, in Super Mario Land, Daisy looked exactly like Peach, but in a yellow dress and with flower-shaped earrings. Since that, however, Nintendo has slowly changed Daisy's appearance. In Mario Tennis and Mario Party 4, her skin was pale as opposed to tan and was given a sort of potbelly; the look has remained in subsequent games. [1] Her face has also slowly changed, possibly in an effort to further differentiate her from Peach. Although she hasn't appeared in a platform game since Super Mario Land or any of the Mario RPGs, she is now a standard character in the Mario sports and Mario Party games. Though supposedly less girly than Peach, Daisy usually sounds very chipper and speaks in more contemporary-sounding slang than Peach does. Daisy's voice is supplied by actress Jen Taylor.
Reply:Princess Daisy is the princess of Sarasaland, who first appeared in the game Super Mario Land. Although she is the ruler of Sarasaland, Daisy's current place of residence is in the Mushroom Kingdom. Daisy is known to be a tomboy, and her special abilities often deal with flowers. She shares a friendly rivalry with her cousin, Princess Peach, and is known to be in relationships with characters like Luigi and Mario. Years after the release of Super Mario Land Daisy started appearing in more and more Mario games; this was due to the lack of human characters in the series. She now appears in the majority of Mario games; most regularly as a playable character.
Reply:She appeared for Mario Kart. No theres no story for her, she's just like Waluigi. They're both there as counterparts to the main characters, except that she isnt evil for sum reason....

Maybe Peach is really evil, so thats y shes always being abducted by bowser, she lets him... Maybe...
Reply:Daisy is another princess kinda like Peach/Toadstoll. I believe she first appeared in the Game Boy game Mario World (not sure if that is the correct name).
Reply:i aint too shure but i think shes peaches cousin or something

How long is a daisy considered a seedling; when is it considered an established plant?

I don't think there's a strict dividing line between seedling and established plant, especially with herbaceous plants such as daisies. But you could think of it as a seedling from the time of germination and through rapid growth until the point at which it starts to put out lateral shoots and flower buds. Once it starts to get bushy and flower-laden, it would be an established plant.

In other plants, once they start to get woody they are no longer seedlings.

Why did the authour of the great gatsby give daisy her name?

daisy is white and golden, shes pale and blonde. shes bright and full of sunshine. she is fragile and can be torn apart piece by piece. i need a lot more things by tonight. i need to write a long paragraph on why the author gave daisy that name.

Why did the authour of the great gatsby give daisy her name?
i would think aswell that her name is soo unlike her character. so hes using Daisy in an ironic sense

her name is how gatsby sees her as perfect and delicate and innocent, her name fools him and the readers... shes not innocent at all, shes more harsh and not delicate at all but quite smart in a selfish way

. he also uses another flower name with Myrtle, its a parallel to her character
Reply:She was given the name daisy due to her dainty personality and quant physical features. Not much more to it than that.
Reply:Oh god, I hated that book. I never even finished reading it. Good luck! Try google.com

Is a shasta daisy a complete or incomplete flower?

please list the source you found this info. on.

Is a shasta daisy a complete or incomplete flower?
Complete. Sorry for lack of reference, I've picked off deadheads and seen the seeds inside. There is only one flower type, no male/female split.
Reply:It is a complete flower. Look in any wildflower, perennial guide, etc. The daisy formation is the most common example given of a complete flower. The Audobon Society Field Guide to North American Wildflowers. p18 Even though the shasta daisy is not a wildflower, it is in the daisy family and is complete flower.
Reply:It is a complete plant it makes seeds without being pollinated hope this helps.

What is the scientific name for a daisy and where does the daisy live?

Daisy is the common name for many different members of the composite family, Compositae. The name originally referred to the English daisy, Bellis perennis, a Eurasian perennial seldom exceeding 15 cm (6 in) in height. Its flowers have yellow centers and white or rose outer petals. In the United States, daisy more often refers to Chrysanthemum leucanthemum, another Eurasian perennial that grows to 1 m (3 ft) high and bears flowers with yellow centers and white outer petals. Both species now grow wild in North America. Several other daisies are the prairie daisy, Aphanostephus skirrhobasis; Shasta daisy, Chrysanthemum maximum; and Spanish daisy, Bellis rotundifolia.

Where can I get the Cocktail daisy ring that Charlotte is wearing in Season 6, episode 76 of Sex & the City?

It's the ring with clear briolette stons as petals, and a yellow opaque center stone. It's quite big, but very bold and cute! I'd love to know who designed it, and if it's possible to still buy it somewhere. Thanks!

What happens if you daisy chain power boards and extension leads?

Both 1 and 2 offer what info you need. Certainly not much harm in 2 power strips connected given that you don't overload.

Without knowing at all where you are; or the purpose for the Q; I suspect you might first check the breaker and any rating for the power strip and/or gauge of any extension cord.

Also without knowing where you are; in the USA there are standards for number of outlets in any given room; and AMP limits one can apply to any given circuit.

Steven Wolf

What happens if you daisy chain power boards and extension leads?
Two things.

If the wire gauges are the same or smaller, the voltage will drop on each extension lead added in the chain. That's called the IR voltage drop.

And you will have a potentially risky overload situation if you try to draw power from too many outlets. The maximum power that can be provided by the full chain is determined by the master outlet that the first plug is connected to. And it is further limited downstream by any power board that has a built-in circuit breaker.
Reply:Besides the hazard of just too many wires to trip over and pull the connected devices to the floor:

1) the extensions may overheat due to being underrated for the load.

2) the circuit will also have the potential to overheat

That said "IF" the wall outlets, wiring and all the connections are in good condition and "IF" the circuit breaker is not larger than what's necessary for the wiring size, then any overload will act as if there were multiple wall outlets and trip the breaker.

What is the best way to keep my Gerbera daisy blooming?

I love Gerber/Gerbera Daisys. I have about 10 plants on my back porch. What is the best way to keep them blooming? Do I cut the flowers, which I love to bring in my house, will that make it produce more flowers or will it hinder that? I can't find any info on this. Do I clip some of the leaves when they get real bushy? or just wait for them to turn brown and pull them out then. Help?!

Thanks,

Kim

What is the best way to keep my Gerbera daisy blooming?
add some bone meal and they will bloom big time. Bone meal consists of nitrogen and phosphorus which encourages flowering and greening. good luck.
Reply:In pots put fertiliser or mulch and cut off dead ones. If theyre in vases cut stems at angle and put them in boiling water (stems only) and they will last longer
