Help for a new Daisy scout Leader?

I have agreed to be the leader for a Daisy Troop. We are just now starting (first meeting Nov. 14th) I don't plan to hold meetings through the summer. What is the best way for the girls the earn all the petals in this short time? My council has said "Whatever you want to do", but I don't know what to do or what order. I wasn't a girl scout so all this is new to me.

Help for a new Daisy scout Leader?
Being a Daisy Leader can be a ton of fun! Girls at this age are eager and really want to participate. I wouldn't worry too much about earning the petal quickly - it should take all year to earn them. We met weekly for one hour and usually had one field trip a month...We usually earned one petal every two meetings. Any faster than that and the girls don't really understand what they are doing.

There are some great websites available for Daisy Leaders - here are a few...

The biggest and most important thing with Daisy Girl Scouts is to stay flexible. If it isn't working - then move on...Always have a game (duck, duck, goose, etc) in your back pocket just in case.

This is what my girls did to earn their petals...

Good Luck! Have a great year!
Reply:I will make it easy, go on the internet and type in the search engine, Daisy scout leader, or daisy scout and they might have a home page on how to conduct yourself with the girls. Good luck.. im sure you will find all you can .. take care
Reply:well since it has been a few years i can not be the best helper but 2 meetings a month help. If you you try todo activities that help them learn it helps like taking recycled containers and turn them into banks which helps them learn about reusing things. the pedals learn about the law so you can help them learn how to be a great friend and helps others to learn about respecting others themselfs and authority, ( ggo to a nursing home to have a sing along or do crafts)if you go to my page u can email me and maybe we can write to each other so we can help each others with ideas,
Reply:My most favorite website in the Girl Scouting world,

Just relax and remember, no matter how little you know, you know WAY more than they do. Have fun with the girls, have fun with your promise circle and ten pedals and they will have fun too. Don't worry and you will be GREAT!

Also remember, that Daisy's is an introduction to Girl Scouts. They don't have to memorize anything, you just need to introduce the concepts of the promise and the 10 parts of the law to them.
