What are your thoughts on the name Daisy?

It used to be a pretty popular name way back when. Does it now make you think of a country bumpkin?

I like it but I don't know if it has negative connotations

What are your thoughts on the name Daisy?
I think it's a sweet name. To those above me who wrote about the name not "growing up" well: this is the CURRENT trend, and as such, that too will change. Who knows what name bank presidents will have in twenty or thirty years. Names have a way of doing that. :o)
Reply:Yeah I had a pet named Daisy too, but it wasn't a dog - a rabbit. It's not an ugly name, but I think she might be uncomfortable with it. Maybe not, it's your baby, do what you want. It does rhyme with crazy and lazy, kids will use both.
Reply:It's very young. Which is fine to start out, but not so much later in life.
Reply:I have a friend with that name, i have always liked it, it's pretty!!
Reply:It's cute for a little girl, but not for a professional adult woman.
Reply:I think it is very cute! My 6 year old has a Daisy in his class and I love it.
Reply:I am seeing more girls with the name, Daisy. I think of it as a flower as we are having flower names again.
Reply:It's okay. I kinda like Gardenia better though.
Reply:It's an absolute gorgeous name. I have a sister named Daisi , very pretty name .
Reply:i think it's very pretty
Reply:It makes me think she has sisters named Rose, Hycinath, and any other flower name. It's an old-fashioned name. Think of it this way: Name your child a name that he or she would be proud to have on a nameplate if they were the president of a bank. Daisy isn't that name.
Reply:Skank. Ditz. Possibly an animal too.
Reply:If you like it, go for it. I know a Daisy that's very sweet and kind. Meg Ryan named her adopted daughter Daisy. She had picked out something else but decided she was more of a Daisy, and changed her name.
Reply:We are going to use it for ours (if its a girl) and no I think it outgrew the country bumpkin by now.
Reply:my first impression of a girl named daisy is that she is sweet, delicate and fragile like a flower
Reply:I think its a pretty name
Reply:Cute, but if I were going to use a flower name it would be Lily or Violet.
Reply:This day in time I would NOT name a child Daisy. It sounds country to me.
Reply:That's my beagles name.

Seriously.

At least it's not ghetto.
Reply:Daisy is a good name for a dog.
Reply:pretty! i imagine a carefree young woman with lots of friends, and very easy going nature.
Reply:My personal view when I think of the name Daisy is a cow. Or dukes of hazard, sorry thats just the first think that comes to mind. I dont think it rhymes with anything bad though.
Reply:Cute!
Reply:I dont really know because I was going to name my dog daisy...so I feel like its weird for a little girl
