What do you think of the names Archie and Daisy?

Do you think they are "chavie"? Are they unusual or common? Do you like them?

What do you think of the names Archie and Daisy?
Archie is good - not at all chavvy

Not too sure about Daisy - it does sound cute but I'm sure most people think about cows when they hear the name. And will it work when she is 18?

Like all names, you will always have people liking and not liking them. A lot of opinions are based on previous experience - for example, an old class mate called Archie may have been an arrogant bully or perhaps a generous, funny guy etc..

The good news is that if you do get it wrong, people only really have an opinion when they first hear the name. After that all references to a person are outweighed by the experience of the actual person.

So once your friends and family have met Archie/Daisy, they won't really care about whether they like the name.

Which means, ultimately, that if you like the names, choose them..... forget everyone else..
Reply:Archie - not my taste

Daisy - cute, but what about when she's grows up and wants a grown-up woman's name, KWIM?
Reply:i quite liek archie actually cos its cute on a baby and can grow with the person. not so sure bout daisy tho. ive heard alot worse tho
Reply:Are you naming cattle or children?
Reply:I have a niece called Daisy and know another Daisy, its a very cute name and not chav at all.

Don't know any Archie's but its also a great name - I think those old traditional names are really cool.

I really like them both.
Reply:Sorry I don't like them, but I live in the U.S., if it's cute for over there, then go for it!
Reply:I like penguins
Reply:these names are the diminutive forms of Archibald and I believe Daisy is a nickname for Margaret from the flower Margaruite. I think babies should be given the full name rather than the shortened version at least on the birth certificate. Although the names sound cute for a baby, I don't think a teenager would thank you. These names are certainly not chavie, but my advice is to think again.
Reply:i think they are lovely names, the old fashioned ones are coming back, the girl next door to me has got 2 little girls one is named madelaine the other is named florence, she calls them maddie and florrie
Reply:I think they could be lovely - but I also think once you see your baby - you will know if the names suit them! I had a list which went out of the window when i first saw my son!
Reply:i love both names was thinking about both names for my children. the old names are coming back
Reply:In the top 100 names for 2005 in the UK Daisy came 28th, and Archie came 38th.

Personally I find them both Old fashioned.

I think they are both cute names, although while Daisy is very cute for a little girl, it might sound a bit odd on a moody teenager!!
Reply:I do not like the name "Archie" AT ALL!!! It sounds like a Dog's name,if fact ,now I know why it sounds like one: b/c it is one. If you ever had kids b 4 did they ever watch this show either on Nick jr or Noggin thats called MAGGIE AND THE FERROSIOUS BEAST? There is in a few episodes ,this one black scotty dog that barks all the time and his name is "Archie".

The name "Archie " also sounds like a f*g name.

But naming a GIRL baby "Daisy"on the other hand is pretty.I have a cousin named Daisy. Daisy is pretty.
Reply:COMICAL!!!!
Reply:Great names.... for bloodhounds. Your children will be tormented.
Reply:i have no clue what chavie means

Archie - reminds me of Archie Bunker or Archie in comics

Daisy is my dogs name, and Daisy Duke.

I dont think the names GO together
Reply:All the Archie's I have ever known have been brats! And it seem to be a very common name. I think Daisy is really cute, not chav at all.
Reply:They're fine if your kids are yellow and 2D.

Sounds like cartoon or comic book characters.
Reply:I THINK ARCHIE IS A TERRIBLE NAME.
Reply:Daisy is cute. Archie is too cartoony.
Reply:I use to know a feller named Archie and he was an asshole, so I don't like it. Daisy on the other hand is fairly common with the older generation here in Kentucky and I like it.
