I would like to know what the baby naming community thinks of the name Daisy .?

We are expecting a baby girl and do not want to name her a common or popular name. Daisy seems old fashioned yet new. Her middle name will be Maria, a family name.

I would like to know what the baby naming community thinks of the name Daisy .?
I love that name. I know only one person with the name daisy, and it is spelled "Daizy" I really like the more unusal names for kids that are not weird. For example, my sons name is Roman, and I love that it is not common but is still easily understood and spelled.
Reply:Not to be mean but that name is really common for a dog?? I personally like it, but I know how it feels to have a not so popular name, but I always heard that is my dogs name. And really there is nothing worse that!!! Report It

Reply:I really like the name Daisy, I think it is really cute! Daisy Maria I am not so sure about though, I think there are other names that would fit better.

Daisy Mae

Lila Maria

Molly Maria
Reply:Well, I don't particularly love the name, especially since Meg Ryan just named her baby Daisy. However, there are other flower names that are old fashioned, or you could vary the spelling to make it more unique. Since a celebrity used it, it is sure to become over-popular.
Reply:Daisy is cute...yes old fashioned and new at the same time.

Sounds great....Good Luck!

I would use Daisy Marie instead of Maria
Reply:My neighbour has a cow called Daisy and so is Donald Ducks "girlfriend"
Reply:I think its VERY cute!!!!! It's my mom's name. And so my name is Stacy. My mom wanted it to rhyme. Congrats and Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:It is a pretty name. But a warning... it's considered to be one of the top names for dogs. With my real name I've often gotten the "oh, that's a pretty name. That's what we've named our German Shepherd." Ah, thank you for the compliment.
Reply:Allyson Maria would be beautiful for your daughter.
Reply:I think its okay. I too have a name that is fairly old fashioned...Evelyn picked out for my baby if it is a girl. I think about names for when they are grown ups. I see all these kids with such babyish names because they were named because it was a baby and I think of how seriously will be my child be taken in the real world with a babyish name. Her middle name is a mixture of my husbands mother's name and my mother's name....Norie (Nora and Marie).
Reply:My nickname has been Daisy since I was a very little girl, so obviously I do like it. But even if it weren't, I like old-fashioned names because they're cool and have history to them, but they're not so popular that every kid in school is going to have those names.
Reply:I think it's cute. I'm not so partial to Maria, but that's just me.
Reply:I like the name Daisy Maria, its not often that you hear the name 'Daisy'.
Reply:i have two kids name king and queen it does not matter everyone is diffrent i think if you want to name someone daisy you should because you have to call your child by that name my motherlaw named my husband after his father and he hated that name but he did not change the name because his mother gave him that name even though his father did not help raise him
Reply:that's a good one. Daisy is good.
