Would you characterize diasys and gatsbys relationship as a love match? are they genuinely in love with one another or with something else. Discuss and explain fully
i need help starting off this essay and i also feel that daisy is inlove with him and the idea of hmi but i dont know which side to choose.

The great gatsby was one of my favorite books in high school so hopefully I could help.
I truly believe that gatsby was in love with daisy. He put on partys hoping that she would show up.
Daisy might have loved him, but she was more in love with social status. She liked having money and being well off rather than being poor.
She already had her husband and daughter by the time Gatsby came back into her life, and even though she might have had feelings for Gatsby, she was not going to ruin what she had already established.
