Why is Daisy(from the great gatsby) careless and self-centered???

im in 10th grade and im doing a character analysis on Daisy, from the novel, the great gatsby. i need some character traits that have a lot of detail and can be supported. so far i have that daisy is careless and self centered. but i need more evidence and detail to support that. please help asap. cuz this project is due soon. thanks for ur help!

i dont have pg numbers, srry, but..shes so careless and self centered because she only cares about money ...materialistic possessions. she doesnt care about other ppl or their feelings, like gatsby, she was only playing around with his emotions, it was obvious she was going to go back to tom in the end. it's happened before. when gatsby died, she didnt even go to his funeral, didnt send anything..nothing...she just moved on. somewhere near the end..nick is narrating (somewhere around his meeting of jordan) and he says something like.. tom and daisy are careless people, they just use others to get what they want and when they dont need them anymore..they just leave them and go back to their money
Reply:i don't remember the page number but you could do how near the end of the book she doesn't take responsibility for running over and killing that one lady but just ends up leaving with her husband...
